The Frozen Path Forward

Taken on a zero-degree day in December.  This trail runs along the banks of the Grand River in Grand Rapids, MI.  It links to a network of trail systems that extend hundreds of miles to almost every corner of the state.

Looks quite inviting with the arching trees. If only it was not so cold!

It’s making me want to walk down and explore 🙂

    • I love photographing in Michigan. I have roots here through my parents, but I grew up in a warmer climate and only moved her permanently about six years ago. Love it. 🙂

      • I moved here as a kid, from Florida, but it’s been my home for over 40 years now. It looks like you’re from the Grand Rapids area. I have work at Lafontsee gallery. If you ask, they’ll pull it out for you. You might like some of it.

        • I’ll have to go take a look! I grew up in Austin, TX. My parents are from West Michigan so we made a lot of trips up here, but mostly in the summer. I never thought I would enjoy winter so much, though I have my days…!
